In 1978, "we" liberated Cambodia on behalf of the Cambodian' people, which "we" concerned as the aggression when the American did the same thing in Vietnam before 1975. My father did not believe in the concept of "we – or our party– the party in which he cannot find himself in it like a member". He did not want to be crammed with these socialism ideals and use the guns to shoot the people he did not know. In that turbulent and heavy-death-smell situation, my father decided to cut off his index finger in order that he would never put it on the trigger.

My works include 3 parts: the story of the one that didn’t want to hold the gun, ‘Chi ChiChànhChành – who would be caught next’, and ‘OảnTùTì – the bet between a child and an adult’
